Final Crossing: A Novel of Suspense
Carter Wilson

Divergent (Divergent Series #1)

Divergent - Veronica Roth I really liked this one. Similar to Matched which I also really liked. Good read that kept me involved.

Gone Girl: A Novel

Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn I wanted to like this book so much, since it's gotten great reviews! I've been on the wait list from the library for months. Finally it was available, and I started reading immediately.140 pages in, I gave up. Slow moving and I hated all the f-bombs. Does she have to use that word multiple times per page? Really?I stopped reading and moved on to another book. Not impressed with this one and won't be reading any of her other books either.

Ender's Game (Ender Wiggin Series #1)

Ender's Game (Ender Wiggin Series #1) - The book I wanted from the library, but I saw this one and got it for my kids. They weren't interested in reading it, so I started instead. It was pretty good, and I liked it. I didn't understand why the boys always had to be naked though, and why so much time was spent talking about the naked boys.About half way through the book, it really started to get interesting. I'd probably read the sequels, but they aren't on my MUST READ NEXT list. All in all, an enjoyable read.

The Judas Strain (Sigma Force, Book 4)

The Judas Strain - James Rollins I am liking James Rollins' books more and more. I really like how the book is really written around actual truths. It makes me want to learn more about what is being talked about in the book. The Judas Strain was no different. I actually went and researched some of the material because I wanted to know more. The author describes everything to the finest detail and you can really get a sense of the story being told. This book kept me wanting to read more and more. I really enjoyed it.

Blaze: A Posthumous Novel

Blaze - Stephen King, Richard Bachman I picked this book up, never having read any "Richard Bachman" or Stephen King books based on the good reviews on GoodReads. I read the first 7 chapters and just couldn't get into it. I didn't like the explicit language and the style of writing between (the dead) George and Blaze. It didn't seem to be going anywhere and after 7 chapters I gave up.I don't think I will attempt any other "Bachman" or King books again.

Operation Red Jericho: The Guild Specialists Book 1

Operation Red Jericho - Joshua Mowll I was in the library checking out another book to read, and saw this one sitting on the shelf. I picked it up and liked the look of the pages and thought it was interesting with all the detailed drawings and maps and fold out pages. Sure, I'll read this I thought and checked it out. It was good, and it was an easy relatively quick read. It is geared more to the teenager crowd. I see there it's a series of 3 book. I think I will wait to read the other two at a later date.

Bloodline (Sigma Force, #8)

Bloodline (Sigma Force, #8) - James Rollins My third "Sigma" novels, and so far I liked this one the best. I'm getting used to James Rollins writing style, jumping back and forth to the several main storylines. I kept finding myself wanting to read just one more chapter. Just one more. Ok, just one more.

The Doomsday Key (Sigma Force Series)

The Doomsday Key (Sigma Force Series) - So this is the 6th book in the series I just found out. It's my 2nd book from this author, and I really liked it. I just finished reading Last Oracle by same author in the same series and it was OK, not great, just OK and I decided to give the author and series one more chance. I actually wanted to read a different title in the series, but it was checked out and this one was available so I grabbed it. I really liked it, much better than Last Oracle. I don't think I missed too much by reading the 6th book 2nd. I am now going for a third in the series - whichever one is available at the library first.

The Last Oracle: A Sigma Force Novel

The Last Oracle - James Rollins This was the first James Rollins book I read, mainly because all the others were checked out at the library.I really wanted to give it 5 starts, but I found myself not used to the way it's written. I didn't really like the four different stories going on, and the book jumps from story to story to story, which can be a little confusing at time. I do like that it's based on a true story...mostly.In the end, I did enjoy the book, and loved the ending.

Think BIG and Kick Ass in Business and Life

Think BIG and Kick Ass in Business and Life - Bill Zanker, Donald Trump This was a good book. Quick and easy read. Lots and lots of duplication though. You hear some of the same stories multiple times in the book. Like Donald was just telling stories and then he'd tell you again, because he didn't remember he told you already. In true Trump style, he does boast about how good he is and how his products are the best that there are and how great a deal maker he is. But I already expected that, as this is a book about Donald Trump, by Donald Trump. I wouldn't have expected anything else. He does have a lot of positive stories that are interesting to read, and most of the book is centered on believing that you are better than you really think you are. I really liked his chapter on getting even and getting revenge! He thrives on that!

Everlost (Skinjacker Trilogy Series #1)

Everlost - Neal Shusterman Not as much a "page turner" as Hunger Games, but I still kept reading and am moving on to the 2nd in the series. It held my attention and I wanted to find out what happened.

Mockingjay (Hunger Games Series #3)

Mockingjay (Hunger Games Series #3) - Suzanne Collins Finished this one in 2 days. Heard bad things about it but it was good. Action packed! I a little let down with the ending though.... seemed to have been rushed to end. Didn't explain it very well and left me feeling a bit sorry for the characters. All in all though, loved the series!

Catching Fire (Hunger Games Series #2)

Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins At first, I thought this was just repeat of the first book, and although similar, it's different. I still like the first better because it was all new, but this was good too! Read it in a few days!

The Hunger Games (Hunger Games Series #1)

The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins I'm not a reader. I haven't read a novel since high school probably. I get bored and my mind wanders and I can't focus. My kids read all the HG series and were talking about the movie. So after all these years, I decided to try reading a novel. I sat down with this book and gave it 15 mins. If I wasn't involved in it, forget it and I'm done. A few hours later, and more than half way through the book, I can't stop reading it. I finished it in a few days and quickly started the 2nd!
